Holy Communion service on Easter Sunday was led by Rob Booth, followed by breakfast in the hall.
Pastor Lowman led the family service. During this time, the young people drew pictures depicting the story of Easter as described in the Bible. They also wrote names of people who needed to be prayed for and tied the noted on to a tree. Pastor Lowman did a one-man sketch. It was a really joyful service.
The evening prayer meeting was a time of praise and intercessory prayer. Louise Lomax led the evening service and continued the Easter theme, basing the sermon on 'the meaning of resurrection'. Holy Communion was celebrated reflecting the Easter theme of 'the cross, death and resurrection of Jesus the lord and saviour of mankind'.
On Tuesday, another group went to Spring Harvest celebrations at Skegness. A few people also went to Countess Connexional Conference at High Leigh until Friday lunchtime. Joe Fern spoke at the Fellowship Hour on Wednesday. The Housegroups restarted, as did the Two by Two Toddler Group this morning (Thursday). On Sunday, Rob Booth will be the speaker in the morning and Keith Waters in the evening. A warm welcome to anyone who desire to meet with us at any of our services.
