Home owner Dan Staite has been told he can increase the height of his boundary fence from 4ft to 6ft.
Mr Staite’s application to East Cambridgeshire District Council was approved after officers felt raising the fence would not adversely affect the community.
Planners felt raising the fence alongside his home at 1a Upton Lane, Littleport, would not significantly alter the character of the site or the house.
They also felt the trees – a number of which are covered by protection orders- would not be harmed in any way.
Eight neighbours were consulted – only one had minor concerns, says the council.
