TAKING a disabled friend to the shop to buy a pint of milk landed June Pyne with fines totalling £140 this week.
Pyne, 48, of Martin Road, Burwell, admitted she had been driving without insurance or an MoT certificate on October 13 last year.
She told Ely magistrates that her life was "at rock bottom," and the car she was driving had since been destroyed.
The court endorsed her driving licence with six points and ordered her to pay £35 costs and a £15 surcharge.
