One Ely Standard reader was given the chance to fill up their trolley with as many goodies as possible during a two minute trolley dash.

Competition winner Brenda Rump was unable to take part so her daughter, Susan Hurrell, took the dash on her behalf.

The challenge took place at Central England foodstore, Wisbech Road, Littleport, which was formed following the merger of Midlands Co-operative and Anglia Co-operative.

Mrs Hurrell said: “I was surprised at just how quickly the two minutes went.

“I was pleased with my dash though, and managed to get my mum a few joints of meat, a bottle of cider, a bottle of wine and a big box of soap powder. She was delighted.”
