Olive Tree Fellowship

SUNDAY morning worship had a harvest theme, and was also designed to be comfortable for visitors, as it was Back to Church Sunday. Eric Hallsworth sang a solo song, the Jubilee Gospel Trio sang an item, Addi the Panda also sang a song. The pastor spoke about a parable of Jesus to do with harvest, relating it to the recent experience of a friend who had found church and his Christian faith sidelined in his increasingly busy life. Just before he died, he had found his faith again. There are many for whom church and Christianity have become less important in their lives - a Sunday such as this was a great opportunity to encourage them back into the fold.

Sunday worship: 10.30am and the speaker will be Tim Frost, an elder in the Church. Crèche and Sunday School will be provided as usual.

Friday: from 10am until noon, the Open Door Café will offer a place to unwind and enjoy fresh tea and coffee, and home-made cake.
