The Choir
MEMBERS of The Choir met for a final rehearsal before joining the school choirs in the Ely Cathedral on Thursday evening. The Choir, based on the BBC series, was a project to bring the community and the school together. Four rehearsals, no auditions and no one turned away. There was a marvellous response, about 50 people who worked very hard and were encouraged by the organiser and musical director Stephen Kenna. For the final rehearsal they were joined by professional soloist Gareth Jones who had previously visited the College to work with the cast of The Pirates of Penzance in 2007. The final rehearsal went well and everyone looked forward to joining the school choirs in the Ely Cathedral on Thursday.
