Community groups get a £200 boost after shoppers at Ely supermarket vote them cause of the month

Choir group Littleport Lyrics received a cheque for more than £200 this week from Ely retailer Waitrose.
The group took part in the monthly Community Matters scheme run by the supermarket, where shoppers vote for their favoured cause or charity with green tokens.
At the end of the month, the tokens are totted up and cheques shared out. This week, Littleport Lyrics were handed £204 from Waitrose staff.
The group entertain residents in care and residential homes throughout the area and will put the cash towards new instruments and expenses.
