THE community education team from the City of Ely Community College will be hosting a stall on Ely Market this Saturday to launch their new package of evening classes.
The team will be offering advice and information on a range of Autumn term classes due to start later this month, with everything from meditation and massage to digital photography, touch typing and language classes available.
Brochures featuring a full run down of courses will be available on the day with the team on hand to answer any questions about what is on offer from 9.30am until 1pm.
A spokesman for the team told the Ely Standard: “Although adult education has been around for a long time lots of people still come along to learn new skills which can help boost their career or their employment prospects. We also have a lot of people who come along because they would simply like to meet new people and enjoy the social aspect of the courses.

“We firmly believe that learning takes place in many forms and that learning is a lifelong activity. We also realise that learning doesn’t always fit neatly into term times or specific times of the day.”
On Tuesday (Sep 14) the team will be hosting a special enrolment evening at the college - on Downham Road - where the opportunity to sign up for a course as well as speak to some of the tutors will be available. The evening runs from 7pm-9pm.
