The evening of Saturday, March 10, saw 56 members sit down to a delicious four-course meal catered for by the St John's Caterers. Wine and orange juice were offered to accompany the meal. Betty Lanagan thanked the caterers for a lovely meal and excellent service. There was a large number of raffle prizes donated by the members, for which they were heartily thanked. The members were entertained by the Newmarket Circuit Choir, conducted by Vernon Place, with accompaniment on the piano by Greta Randall. Vera Seal introduced the group, who sang a selection of gospel-based songs with solo pieces and readings. At the conclusion of the show, John Booth thanked the group for their moving performance. The coffee morning dinner was supported by Age Concern.
