The profits from a community café in Sutton were donated to charity this week.
Nellie’s Community Café, which runs at the Scott Court sheltered housing scheme, on the second Wednesday and last Friday of each month, shared out more than £1,000 between two good causes.
The funds were the café’s profits for the last six months.
Ursula Revill, of Nellie’s Café, presented £331 to Ehlers-Danlos Support UK, represented by Ruth Baker and Jess Johnson, and £669 to Emma Sanders of MAGPAS.
The next two charities that will benefit from the café’s profits will be Guide Dogs for the Blind and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
