Archant

WORLD Book Day brought out a host of colourful costumes and outfits at schools and nurseries across East Cambridgeshire on Thursday, with everyone from Snow to Spiderman making an appearance.

Pupils all over the district put away their uniforms for one day and turned up to school dressed as their favourite character from books.

There were dozens of dazzling outfits on display including Minnie Mouse, Buzz Lightyear and even Thomas the Tank Engine.

In East Cambs, pupils at Wilburton Primary School and Rainbow Preschool and in Ely were taking part and, as our photos show, the results were quite spectacular!
