A CHEQUE for 500 was handed over to the Friends of the Lantern School by fundraisers at Ely College this week.
Students Alice Easey, Kate Marsters, and Megan Crabtree organised a 12-hour sports marathon which took place last week and raised a whopping 1,750 for good causes.
Among their selected beneficiaries was the Friends’ school crossing appeal and two of the friends handed over a cheque to Abbie Holgate this week.
The remainder of the money will be donated to the Malcolm Whales Foundation, which raises awareness and funds for bowel cancer research.
