The Co-operative in Littleport has chosen Stepping Stones Pre-School as its charity of the year for 2014.
The pre-school is hoping to raise funds for a ‘sensory bus’, which will give the children an opportunity to explore textures, sounds and lights.
The Co-operative, in Main Street, has raised £1,442 so far by hosting cake stalls, bric-a-brac sales and raffles.
An additional £85 has also been donated to Stepping Stones by Hazel Tuck and her family after a memorial match was held at Littleport Bowls Club – bringing the total to £1527.
Stepping Stones manager Hayley Rudnicki, said: “I would like to thank the staff and customers of the Co-op for their amazing support in helping raise such a fantastic amount of money.”
