WITCHFORD Village College's new food and technology teacher Tamubudzai Choto took her first lesson on Thursday after the Ely Standard panned the Government for trying to block her visa.

She faced the prospect of returning home to Zimbabwe. But we stepped in and, with the help of South East Cambridgeshire MP, Jim Paice, overturned the Government's decision and got her permit extended by a year.
