An Ely venue is raising money for the victims of the London attacks with a late night charity event.

Robert Gilkes, founder of Bar-ology in Forehill, said: “In the wake of the horrible terror attacks in the UK, we created a fund raising night. All profits will be donated to the UK Solidarity fund, a charity set up by the Red Cross.

“The UK Solidarity Fund will support people who have been injured, bereaved or traumatised by terror attacks in the UK, helping to alleviate immediate suffering and ensure victims and their families do not face short-term financial difficulties.

“Happening so close to home makes us want to do something to make a difference to those involved in recent attacks, but also those who may suffer from such events in the future”.

“We’re constantly looking at ways to make a difference, and support people in the local community and beyond.”

• The night is on Saturday 10 from 5pm to 2am at Bar-ology in Forehill.
