ELY Methodist Church s annual Christmas Tree Festival was formally opened by city mayor Ron Bradney on Saturday. Visitors flocked to the church to see the decorated trees all weekend, and the event raised more than £800 for the church. Organiser Wendy Po

ELY Methodist Church's annual Christmas Tree Festival was formally opened by city mayor Ron Bradney on Saturday. Visitors flocked to the church to see the decorated trees all weekend, and the event raised more than £800 for the church.

Organiser Wendy Powell said: "Prizes were won by the 1st Ely Brownies, who decorated their tree to fit in with a Brownie theme, and Ely Flower Club, who finished first in the Best Decorated Tree competition.
