STAFF at Ely's Oxfam store gratefully received a cheque worth £240.
The donation was made by members of the Downham Market Choral Society, who decided to give the proceeds of their Christmas concert to the Ely branch of the charity because a young chorister works in the store part-time.
Society chairman Mary Painter, said: "The audience at our concert at Downham Methodist Church were wonderful and made donations as well as buying tickets."
