Competitors at the Isleham Horse Show had another opponent to contend with this year - the weather.

Heavy frost meant some riders stayed away and the start of the show-jumping and cross-country elements had to put back on each of the two days.

However, the event was still a success and attracted the usual high standard of international and home entries. They included Oliver Townsend, on the shortlist for the forthcoming world championships.

Macmillan Cancer Relief and Epilepsy Action will benefit from the event.

Organiser Jackie Seddon said: "I think the riders appreciated the effort everyone put in towards coping with the frost and we had quite a few spectators.
