CHILDREN and families who created an animated film as part of a summer programme will see their work hit screens across Cambridgeshire over the next few weeks.

In The Garden was one of four fun animated films made as part of the Vital Communities project - a partnership scheme funded by Cambridgeshire County Council, Arts Council England East and the county's seven local authorities.

Following the huge success of its first year, filmmaker Sarah Gibson has worked with the project to create a mini DVD highlighting the outcomes to date.

Each film festival event will begin with a preview of this new film and another chance to see the four animated films, including In The Garden, made over the past months.

The film show will end with a special Vital Communities Awards ceremony, refreshments and a chance for audience members to share their thoughts about the project.

All events are free and open to everyone, with tickets to be booked in advance. Children must be accompanied at all times.

The film festival comes to Ely's Spring Meadow Infant School at High Barns on Tuesday between 2.30pm and 3.30pm and Sutton Primary School between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

On Tuesday, November 21 the films will be shown at Mary's Junior School, High Barns, Ely from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
