King’s Ely Acremont and Nursery raised more than £170 after the children were encouraged to wear as many red items of clothing and accessories as they could on the day in return for a small donation. There were also a whole host of Red Nose Day-related games and activities.

At King’s Ely Junior, pupils sported a variety of colourful Red Nose Day attire and accessories, which raised more than £305 for Comic Relief. Pupils also ran their own cake sale, which raised £800 for the Disaster Emergencies Committee (DEC). The DEC brings 13 UK aid charities together in times of crisis and launches appeals to raise money to help those impacted by disaster.
