An award-winning dog handler from Pymoor raised more than £2,000 by completing a walking challenge on the UK’s highest mountain.

Charlotte-Louise Page, 21, completed a seven-hour walk on Ben Nevis, in Scotland, with a little help from her Dalmatian, Hugo.

Ms Page has been showing Dalmatians for 10 years and has received a hatful of awards along the way, including the Shaun McAlpine Award from the Kennel Club for outstanding achievement.

The Anglia Ruskin student was hoping to hit the £1,000 mark but, by the time she started the walk, had raised an impressive £2,332.18.

The money will be split between Macmillan Cancer Support and the North of England Dalmatian Welfare charity.
