Lisa’s Fund has reached £121,000 after a busy two weeks of fund-raising at Aquafest and Girton Feast.

The fund, set up by Robert Barnes in memory of his wife Lisa, who died from cancer in 2010 and spent her final weeks at Arthur Rank Hospice. After she died, Mr Barnes vowed to raise £100,000 to support the work of the hospice.

In total, £954.69 was raised at Aquafest and Girton Feast, with a raffle and cake sale. The winner of the pink wheelbarrow lives in Cambridge.

Mr Barnes said: “A big thank you to all the volunteers for helping Lisa’s Fund on both days and the public who gave so generously on both occasions.”
