A FENLAND eel catcher will be one of the many attractions at this year's Soham Museum Project Open Day.

Visitors to the wealth of exhibits on display at Lodeside Hall, Soham Village College can also have their family history analysed by experts.

Donna Martin, of Soham Museum Project, said: "It's a great chance for people to come and talk to collectors, to share their memories of Soham or to find out about their history. The place was really buzzing last year. There's such an eclectic mix of people and exhibits, it's something for everyone."

The event runs from 11am-4pm on Saturday. Admission is £1 but free tickets will be issued to all Soham schoolchildren and their families.
