A SUTTON man is facing two charges under the Harassment Act, with one allegation claiming that he threatened to burn down a woman's house.

Robert Skinner, of Mepal Road, is accused of harassing Anthea Cavey on March 7, by sending her 65 text messages and a post card.

It is also alleged that the 41-year-old caused Anthea Cavey to fear that violence would be used against her on March 15, when he went to her home address, knocked on the door, put his hand through the letterbox, shouted abuse and threatened to burn her house down.

Skinner had his case adjourned for one week by Ely magistrates on Thursday.
