CARPENTER Jon Button escaped a driving ban this week, after magistrates were told that other companies would suffer if he could not continue in business.
Button, 23, of St Martin's Close, Exning, had admitted an offence of speeding, and could have been banned from driving for six months under the "totting up" procedure that comes into force when a driver collects 12 or more points.
Button had another five points endorsed on his licence, and he was fined �215 with �35 costs and a �15 surcharge, for driving his van at 70 mph.
