Staff and residents at a care home in Littleport raised hundreds of pounds for charity at an event inspired by TV drama series Downton Abbey.
Family and friends joined staff and residents at The Grange for Downtown Comes to Littleport – an Edwardian-themed garden party.
Staff donned authentic dress and costumes from the early 1900s and refreshments were inspired by the era.
A harvest auction helped raise £150 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, and donations, stalls and games generated £520 for the residents’ fund.
Littleport Grange manager, Kathryn McGuirk said: “We wanted to host a fund-raiser that was a bit different and that would really engage our residents.
“A lot of our residents are very interested in history, especially in the Edwardian period, and we’re all Downton fans. The costumes prompted discussion about the programme and about family history, and helped residents with their reminiscence activities.
“It was a great success and to have raised so much money is fantastic. We would like to thank everyone who donated.”
