AN early morning police raid recovered more than 600 cannabis plants at an Ely home today (Thursday).
Around 15 officers, acting under the misuse of drugs act, swooped on a house in Brooke Grove at 6.45am and arrested two Ely men on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.
The men, aged 30 and 26, have been taken to Parkside police station.
A police spokesman said more than 600 plants were found, with a street value of between £60,000 and £100,000.
Sector Inspector Adam Gallop said: "This raid is part of our ongoing work to tackle the production and supply of cannabis in the county.
"We take these offences extremely seriously and will continue to dedicate time and resources to catch and convict those involved in this activity.
