ELY campaigner Ed Mullenger has teamed up with a rock band to get his message about abuse of the elderly out across the airwaves.
Ed, from High Barns, and the band HESH have recorded a song called No Secrets after spending four months working together to compose the lyrics and music. They will be promoting it on local radio as part of Ed's campaign for legal protection to safeguard the elderly from abuse.
They spent last Thursday at the Springvale Recording Studio in Ipswich to cut the master disc after owner Mark Fairfax-Harwood offered the full day's recording free of charge to support the campaign. The new single will raise money for the UK charity Action on Elder Abuse, and the band will perform the song live at events round the area.
Copies of the disc will be available in shops soon or on line at www.elderprotection.co.uk.
