Girl guides from across Cambridgeshire have been rewarded for their hard work by receiving their gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award brooches.
Four guides – Chloe Mynott of Ely, Becca Clarke, Fiona McBride and Trinity Hales – were all given the awards for completing challenging expeditions – including tackling the Scottish Lochs in a canoe and hiking the mountains of Snowdonia.
The girls received their awards at an event at Witchford Village Hall last Saturday.
Long service awards were also given out for services to Girlguiding, and Stephanie Cole of Chatteris received her 10-year award, while Jane Groves of Doddington and March district was awarded a county brooch for outstanding services to guiding.
