Cambridgeshire County Council election day 2017 shall be remembered as the day in which the Conservatives swept the county – and it was no different in East Cambridgeshire.

It was ‘as you were’ in seven of the eight divisions, with the only major change coming in Littleport, where Tory candidate David Ambrose-Smith took the seat from UKIP on what will be seen as a dark day for the party.
