HADDENHAM cancer survivor Callum Brown has rallied his supporters for the Cancer Research Relay for life taking place this weekend.

Callum, aged 13, who finished radiotherapy in August after being diagnosed with a brain tumour, had another operation in July to investigate a build-up of pressure in his skull - but he has been given the go-ahead to take part in a survivor's lap in aid of Cancer Research and is back at Witchford Village College on a part-time basis.

Earlier this year the Ely Standard reported the generous actions of Haddenham residents who clubbed together to buy 13-year-old Callum a bike - and Witchford Village College will be holding a non-school uniform day in aid of the charity. If you would like to go and support Callum, his family and friends, there will also be a fete and activities at Lodge Farm, Fulbourn, South Cambridgeshire from 2pm on Saturday. Alternatively you can sponsor them online at www.gingerking.org.
