PARENTS, grandparents and anyone else with an interest in Soham's St Andrew's School were invited to the open afternoon on March 2.

At the main entrance, visitors were greeted by pupils who took them on a guided tour of the building, which included the school's new ICT suite. The suite contains 32 computers.

Lots of food was on offer, including some savoury and sweet examples of the healthy eating fare served up to the children for lunch.

In the small hall, headteacher, Mr Liddington addressed some of the parents followed by Mrs Bryden from the Village College who set the minds of anxious year sixes and their parents at rest about their impending move to their giant next-door neighbour. After the adults had done their talking the children took over and gave a taster of the school production of Around The World In One Thousand Years by singing two songs. Tickets for the performances on March 29/30/31 are available from the school office.
