Ely Olympian Goldie Sayers has been given the Andy Warhol treatment.

AN Ely businessman has brought a touch of psychedelic 60s culture to the city.

Will Marston, who owns Lollipop Animation in High Street Passage, is giving people the opportunity to see how they would look in an Andy Warhol-style canvas print.

To celebrate this, the Ely Standard is offering readers 10 per cent off all framing.

Mr Marston said: "I've always been a big fan of Andy Warhol's work, and he remains one of the most popular artists of his generation. Someone came into the gallery one day and asked if we could create a Warhol tribute picture from a photo they had, we did it, and it looked really great. The canvas went down so well and we have had requests coming in every day."

Ely Olympian Goldie Sayers, pictured, is a fan of the artwork and has had a print done.

She said: "The picture looks amazing, I'm really happy with it. I agreed to have it done because I thought it would be a lot of fun, but I never thought it would come out so well. It would make a really good and unusual present for people."

If the Warhol look is not to your taste, Lollipop Animation can put any image on to canvas, from wedding photos to baby pictures, in a more orthodox style.

All the artwork and printing is done in-house and turnaround is under a week. Prices start from £35 for a standard photo on canvas and then from £45 for a Warhol effect.
