Based at Hainey Farm in Barway near Ely, the business hosts visits from approximately 300 students and has been short-listed under the Innovative Learning categories for farms which have developed and implemented new learning experiences which are seen to have inspired and encouraged young people.
Bill Graham OBE, executive director of Farming and Country Side Education (FACE) said: "We would like to congratulate Hainey Farm for their excellent work in reconnecting children with where their food comes from."
Andrew Orme, managing director of Bayer CropScience, the company sponsoring the awards agreed, "It is vitally important that we celebrate the great work that farmers are doing in providing quality educational experiences in a safe environment."
