Bosses from East Cambridgeshire District Council visited the headquarters of a fresh salad and vegetable provider to have a tour of their facilities.

Councillors and officers from the council went to G’s UK headquarters in Barway on April 27 to understand more about the business.

It came as part of a wider effort from the council to visit and speak with a range of businesses from across the district.

Councillors enjoyed a tour of the premises led by operations manager, Simon Hirst and got to speak to Group HR director Beverly Dixon, marketing director Anthony Gardiner and a range of G’s colleagues.

Councillor Steve Cheetham, service delivery champion for economic development at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “Businesses like G’s prove that East Cambridgeshire is a perfect place for companies to flourish. They also have a proven track record of investing in apprenticeships for young people, which is a vision shared by the council. I am proud that the district has industry leaders like G’s flying the flag for commerce in East Cambs.”
