THE director of Soham-based salad and vegetable producer GS Shropshire has been named one of the wealthiest people in the region in the Sunday Times Rich List 2006.
John Shropshire, who inherited the business from his father Guy, runs the Barway Road company and is estimated to be worth £82 million.
The 51-year-old is the 16th wealthiest individual in East Anglia and 707th in Britain.
The company, which trades as G's Marketing, turns over £135 million per year.
