MARK Peters, managing director of Star FM, will once again host the Ely Standard East Cambridgeshire Business Awards.

Mr Peters has been hosting the awards since its inception in 2009.

He has been working in commercial radio for 16 years, starting at Q103 (now Heart) and working his way around the country securing presentation roles on some of the country’s most successful regional radio stations.

This includes Beacon radio in the West Midlands, Leicester Sound and the launch of the drive time show on the national digital station Planet Rock.

In 2010, Mr Peters launched the region’s only commercial radio business show and it has rocketed in the ratings and now broadcasts on KLFM across Norfolk.

Known for his entrepreneurial skills, Mr Peters is director of several start-up businesses, including his own audio production company which developed the world’s first GPS device voice replacement service www.satnavvoices.com

He is dad to a five-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son.

This year’s awards night takes place on Friday, October 4, at Ely Cathedral’s Lady Chapel. Tickets will go on sale shortly.
