EXCITING times lie ahead for the Ely firm which re-glazed Windsor Castle after the 1992 fire.

N&C Glass Ltd, which moved two years ago to modern premises on Lancaster Way, has just joined the Glass and Glazing Federation.

It means the firm is now eligible for the TrustMark scheme. - the initiative, which requires all participating companies to sign up to a code of practice, in an effort to beat 'cowboys'.

The fact that N&C Glass has been established in Ely for 22 years is an indication of its credibility, with 18 staff able to assist on a wide range of glazing issues.

"People know we trade with integrity," said managing director Nicholas Flack. "We turn up when we say we are going to turn up and reliability is high up on the list."

Despite all of N&C's work over the years, the Windsor Castle assignment remains Mr Flack's personal favourite.

"We did that over a four-year period and I'm very proud of what we did there,"

he said.

"I like to think we've got a very good team, we are all a team and that shows."
