The owner of a petrol forecourt in Littleport has applied to East Cambridgeshire District Council to build an extension.
Jonthan James, owner of James Craven and Sons, has entered plans to extend the sales area of the BP garage, in Wisbech Road.
The existing station was granted planning permission in 2009 and Mr James has applied to extend the forecourt sales building by three metres, to accommodate more stock.
Agents acting for Mr James told the council: “The proposal comprises a three metre extension to the rear of the existing sales building, largely to increase the area for storage of products but also to allow for rationalisation of the internal areas and including the relocation of customer toilets.
“The works will include replacement refrigeration units and alterations to the existing refuse compound. The alterations proposed will improve the services available to all customers.”
A decision on the plans is expected within the next eight weeks. To view the plans, or to have a say, visit www.eastcambs.gov.uk
