Price Bailey Steps Up the Accountancy Ladder

“Price Bailey works with its clients predominantly using fixed fee arrangements and the team is encouraged to spend more time face-to-face with clients through contact time.”
FURTHER evidence of Price Bailey’s continued success is the firm’s rise of three places in Accountancy magazine’s list of Top 60 Firms. This means the chartered accountants, based in Broad Street in Ely, has risen three places in 12 months and perhaps more impressive - a rise of nine places in just four years.
The rise, says Price Bailey, is due, in part, to the firm’s impressive growth in the City of London, Norwich and more recently in Guernsey. The growth is particularly impressive given the recession and the difficult times in the professional market. The firm believes the growth would not have been possible without the strong relationship it has developed with its clients and the investment in its team. Both were significant factors that have enabled Price Bailey to win Large Firm of the Year.
“Price Bailey works with its clients predominantly using fixed fee arrangements and the team is encouraged to spend more time face-to-face with clients through contact time - where the clients do not get charged for the meetings,” said a spokesperson for the firm.
“Improved internal communications through the firm’s own internal Wiki facility has been responsible for the sharing of knowledge and experience among the team. On the HR front, a flexible approach to resourcing enables employees to move around the practice to where their skills are needed to deliver a premium service to clients. The introduction of Price Bailey’s new training programme, StepStone in 2010 means that new recruits are exposed to all areas of the business on a rotational basis. This enables individuals to make an informed decision about career preferences and provides the firm with highly skilled teams for the longer term.”
