ELY mayor Ron Bradney was on hand last week to carry out the ribbon cutting at a new business in Ely.

Mr Bradney officially opened the Edward Jones office at 17 Forehill, which will be run by financial adviser and stockbroker Charles Blakey.

"I am pleased to be able to open this new business in Ely, bringing a new dimension of financial services offered to people in the area," said Mr Bradney.

"It is encouraging to hear of Edward Jones' commitment to the local community and I wish Charles well in the future."

Mr Blakey added: "I am delighted to be opening my office where I will be offering services associated with both a stockbroker and financial adviser.
