ARE you a budding entrepreneur and thought of starting a business but don't know where to start?

If so, East Cambridgeshire District Council has a number of spaces left on a pioneering programme giving people ideas to start their own business. A wide range of help, advice and information will be available on the course, which is entitled 'How To Come Up With An Idea For A Business'.

The course will be held at e-Space North, Littleport, on February 8/9. Darren Hill, economic development officer at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: "There are hundreds of people in the district who have the drive and the will to start their own business, but they often need guidance to channel their enthusiasm. This programme is designed to specifically target entrepreneurs and help them get their businesses off the ground.

"We have had a terrific response to our adverts so if you are interested please get in touch soon."

The course will be led by Barrie Hawkins, author of the Sunday Times book How To Generate Great Ideas. The first edition of the book sold out and has been translated for publication in world markets, including South America, Russia, and China.

Barrie Hawkins said: "By devising a course especially for entrepreneurs, everybody attending will be in roughly the same situation. Nobody is likely to have masses of business experience or lots of money to start a business."

INFO: To book a free place or to receive a course leaflet, contact Sally Bonnett, regeneration officer at East Cambridgeshire District Council on 01353 616381 or email her at: sally.bonnett@eastcambs.gov.uk Places are limited and must be pre-booked. Help with transport may be available.
