The Judges were impressed with the community work being undertaken by all the finalists. However, they all agreed that Corkers Crisps, of Pymoor, is this year’s winner.

This award recognises contribution to local communities without the expectation of direct commercial benefit, or both.

The judges said: “As well as possessing good green credentials, the range and extent of the community work Corkers undertake, outside of their main business, is impressive .

“It includes supporting a local primary school and fund-raising on behalf of a local children’s cancer charity.

“Genuinely, a local business with a big heart.”

Supports adults with learning disabilities in the community. Branching Out collects and sorts donated items for reuse in the community via charity shops.

Specialises in personalising clothing and gifts through embroidery and printing. Clients include businesses requiring corporate/work wear, local clubs and groups to individuals.

Eco Installer Ltd, Sutton

A leading installer of traditional and renewable heating systems, supported by first-class plumbing and electrical service helping to reduce energy bills and CO2 levels.
