A STAGECOACH bus driver involved in a road accident that left 12 people injured could be facing a driving ban, magistrates announced this week.
Brian Bristow, 53, was driving a company bus on the A14 at Snailwell when he failed to see a black Scania truck travelling ahead of him, and ploughed into the rear of the vehicle.
"The bus then swerved across the carriageway and collided with the rear of a Volvo car," prosecutor Angela Sassoli told Ely magistrates on Thursday.
"As a result of the defendant's actions, a total of 12 people sustained injuries; one had injuries of a serious nature."
Bristow, of Cherry Rise, Sutton, admitted driving carelessly on January 31. Sentencing was adjourned until September 6.
