WAITROSE customers were in for a surprise on Saturday when they found the cast of Bugsy Malone helping to pack their groceries with a smile and a song.
Pupils from the City of Ely College took part in the sponsored bag pack to help raise money for the school production of Bugsy Malone. All of the 25 pupils took part from 10am until 4pm and ended up raising more than 910.
The college and all pupils concerned would like to thank the staff at Waitrose for their support and also all of the customers for all their amazing generosity. The play is being performed at the College on March 29, 30 and 31.
