ITEMS stolen in a burglary at Littleport were found hidden in Daniel Nunn's garage just days later.

Police searching Nunn's address found a Toshiba lap top computer and a Nintendo Wii games system in a bag - but Nunn refused to give information about how they got there.

"He did not want to name the names of the people involved," solicitor Adam Haselhurst told Ely magistrates on Thursday.

"He accepts he was in possession of stolen goods, he was given them to look after, and he certainly had no involvement in the burglary whatsoever."

Nunn, 23, of Hempfield Place, Littleport, admitted handling stolen goods belonging to Aaron Ellis, between September 27 and October 4.

"You really need to sort your life out," Nunn was told by presiding magistrate Mary Rone.

Ordering Nunn to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and undertake a 12-month supervision programme with the probation service, Mrs Rone added: "We implore you to work with probation, and those people who are trying to help you, to get your life back on course and stop this chaotic lifestyle." He must pay £60 costs.
