OUR speaker for March was G Heathcock who came to give us a talk and slide show on the work of the R.N.L.I. In this day-and-age, with more people involved with water sports and travelling to the seaside, their role is more important than ever. Their workload has trebled and with a top-of-the-range lifeboat costing £3 million, fund-raising is essential. Mrs Harrington gave the vote of thanks. In April, we will be having a ploughman's supper.

Meetings are held in the Brooklands Centre on the third Wednesday of each month.
