THE head of a Fordham company has been voted Britain's Most Energetic Boss. Professor David Hall is the chief executive of HFL Ltd and was nominated by fellow worker Emma Sutherland for his "extraordinary positive energy and commitment to making the workplace a great place to be".
On learning he had won the covered award, sponsored by energy company e.on, Mr Hall said: "I am truly overwhelmed to have been picked as Britain's Most Energetic Boss. I put as much energy as I can into making sure my team is happy and upbeat, ensuring they are happy at work and in their lives in general because it is good for them and good for the business as well."
Mr Hall won an eight-day whale watching experience in Norway's famous fjords.
Dame Ellen MacArthur, who was one of the judges, said: "David is a boss who leads by example by making himself accessible and approachable to his employees.
David has also shown that he's an innovative thinker, driving new ideas which enhance the environment around the workplace. He rewards hard work, is game for anything and is a clear and lively leader - a great example to bosses everywhere."
