The Ely Rotary Club has welcomed a new member to its group.
Brian Leonard was, until their recent demise, a member of the local Lion’s Club for some 26 years, and has said that joining Rotary was a good subsequent move.
Brian is well known not only for his carpet shop, located in Broad Street, Ely, from which he retired three months ago, but also being a long-serving member of Ely Cricket Club.
He has been with the cricket club for 55 years, where he has served as president, and still looks after the cricket square.
He has already had connection for several years with Ely Rotary, by being a loyal Lion’s supporter and helper for the Rotary Club’s Christmas collection.
