A boy was taken to hospital yesterday after suffering a head injury and losing consciousness during a rugby match in Ely.
The boy was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance, in a stable condition, for observation.
Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nick Scott and Paramedic Dan Read) flew to the playing field via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance, arriving at 12.10pm.
They assessed the boy and worked alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew.
